In a show of unity with strength in numbers, about one hundred and fifty women from twelve Long Island Chabad Centers met at the resting place of the Lubavitcher Rebbe zy'a to hear speakers and pray for a good year for themselves, their families, and Klal Yisroel. The event was spearheaded by Mrs. Chanie Wolowik of Chabad of the Five Towns, with Shluchos (Rebbetzins) from around the Island attending.
Mrs. Chaya Teldon, co-Director of Chabad Lubavitch of Long Island, inspired the women with a message about the power of prayers at the resting place of a Tzaddik. Mrs. Samara Klein of the Five Towns spoke about how her prayers were indeed answered.
Women came from as far away as Coram to take part in this special gathering, and left with tremendous optimism for a meaningful Yom Kippur and year to come.
